I used to live in Tempe in the mid 70’s....did a lot of skydiving in the Gulch (Casa Grande) before turning semi-serious in life and going to college.
The Organ Stop was a fun place to go to once in a while. Glad to hear that its still open!

Mexico has come here, no need to go there. I just had fantastic authentic Mexican tacos in Sonoma for $2 each. Drive a block off of Hwy.12 and you can find streets that look just like Mexico. I hear that the experience in Los Angeles is even more authentic.
Mexico does have some nice beaches, but then again, so does Hawaii. Come to think of it, I always liked Hawaii better than Mexico. So what does Mexico have that is unique? Crappy souvenirs? nah. Cheap hotels? not really. Aztec pyramids? Yep, that’s it!! Mexico has Aztec pyramids! Eat your heart out rest of the world.
Boycott Mexico now and forever! Let them build their own damn country.

I’ve lived in AZ 5 years and only driven to Puerto Penasco once. I was amused to see the “hassle free travel zone” signs from Sonoita to the beach. I guess it’s no longer hassle free.
I think we ought to turn this reconquista thing on it’s ear. Arizona should invade and seize Rocky Point. We need our own beach.
Too bad Congress didn’t authorize enough money after the US/Mexican war and just extend the AZ border to get some beach. Wouldn’t need San Diego.

I’ve been all over the Caribbean. I know people that go to Mexico. “We’re in the safe areas.” Uhhh right,until they’re not.
From what I’ve read, even the “safe” areas are not “safe” anymore.
