WASHINGTON, May 21 (UPI) -- A rodent -- type and origin unknown -- eluded capture after invading U.S. President Barack Obama's speaking space in the Rose Garden.
Obama was commenting on the Senate's passage of financial reform legislation Thursday when the varmint burst through the shrubbery, scurried in front of the presidential podium, then disappeared in some bushes, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.
Witnesses said the rodent began its run from the right and exited on the left.
The critter's political views were not known.
I agree. A message to someone to rat BHO out. The other day as he was leaving the WH, a swarm of bees greeted him.
Rat Bastard!
Nope - a photo showed the mouse running from left to right, not right to left. Another case of media bias. ;)
That made my night.
It voles me over.
Must have been a rat running from the light!
First a plague of bees, and now rats.
This must be a sign that the False Prophet of False Hope is Beelzebub himself.
Didn’t carter have to fight off a killer rabbit?
Obummer can't fight off vermin, you know professional courtesy and all ;^)
Typical Rat, starts out as a 'blue dog' on the right and exits a hardcore socialist...
a meadow vole
Strange isn’t it - how they are attracted to him and that it makes the news. Remember the fly buzzing around him awhile back?
This will be the Summer of Vole.
“Look, there’s a rat at the White House. And did you see the rodent that ran in front of him?”
Voles are rather cute, remind me of a porcupine in the head area, but they can do killer damage to foliage and trees.
Reminds me of the end of the Movie...”The Departed” with the rat running across the balcony rail with the Boston State House in the background...
I thought the varmint gave the speech.
“Strange isnt it - how they are attracted to him and that it makes the news. Remember the fly buzzing around him awhile back?”
But of course BO would draw flies . . .
