"True, but have you ever SEEN a flour explosion?"

Very explosive. I believe that there was a flour explosion in GA a year or two ago, somewhere around Savannah. There's a technical word that firefighters use to describe it, but for the life of me, I can't remember it.

I remember a few grain elevator explosions that made the news when I was growing up...it’s amazing how explosive flour can be in the right setting...

Fuel-Air explosive. Dust explosion.

The army taught me how to make a "dust initiator" explosive. A ten pound bag of flour can demolish a gymnasium.

Such devices work in large confined areas, but not so well in small places.
