For all intents and purposes, a coup has already taken place, both in an ideological sense, as well as practical application. Nothing is beneath Obama. He is a true believer for whom ideology trumps the constitution, and the end justifies the means. I agree that it will take a major mishap or power grab for military intervention, but the child Marxist is fully capable of it.
I don't disagree with you. But it still is interpretable as a matter of political opinion. I don't think the military is likely to act in such circumstances. If Obama starts using the military to gather up citizens and put them in gulags, then they will be confronted with the kind of definite choice that will be unavoidabe. I don't see the military acting until they have no other choicel. And even then, I'm not entirely sure what their choice will be. Probably at least some divisions, I would guess, between those who think they should obey orders no matter what, and those who think the orders are illegitimate or criminal.
