Go Arizona. We are all going to have to stand our ground in some form or another before too long. Here’s a good example on how it’s done.

I wonder...do they have the capability to just shut LA off or is it region wide?

If it’s region wide, I need to fill up the gas cans so I can run the generator if we get hit with this in the Antelope Valley.

We’re only about 70 miles north in Kern Cty. and I’m not sure where our power comes from.

Call the LA city council and ask them if they are boycotting AZ's water and power. It's fun!

If Los Angeles wants to boycott Arizona, it had better get used to reading by candlelight.

And, get used to one l-o-o-o-o-n-n-n-g-g, hot summer without AC, too. L.A., you are treading where you truly don't want to tread. You're best off cutting your losses, apologizing profusely and shutting up. You might buy some extra goodwill with your energy supplier by actually supporting their law. Frankly, though... I hope they follow through with it. Let the Laker fans shine flashlights onto the court during the playoffs. L.A.'s actions say they don't need no steenkin' electricity!

Both Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh RIGHTLY pointed out that this is the way “civil unrest” or “civil war” start. Indeed, were Arizona to do this, I would support it, but the Feds would IMMEDIATELY intervene — and whose side do you think they would take? And what ACTIONS would they take AGAINST Arizona? How far would they go? And what would other citizens or Free States do in response to the Federal tyranny?

I would hope Arizona WOULD respond to California, and to Seattle and other States and municipalities that “boycott” them. I am looking for ways to stage my own personal “BUYcott” for Arizona. :-) It’s TIME to STAND for our individual and States Rights, and call out those who are our enemies into the open.

YEAH!!!

Finally, someone with balls to stand up to these brain dead idiots who haven’t read the bill and are afraid to be proud of and protect their own country.

Give ‘em some occasional brownouts now, just so they get a taste of what’s coming!

Go, Arizona!!!!

I know Gary Pierce, and he’s a good guy...He’s also running for reelection this year (he’ll be at my Republican club next month). This is getting fun!!!

I smell setup, and wonder to what extent, if any, the Administration had a hand in the LA decision.

LOL! Maybe some of the illegals they’ve helped out and allowed to suck out of the city bank account will make LA city government some free candles...

I cant think of a better way to get these idiots voted out of office than to have them be responsible for getting the power turned off.

I wouldn't sell or ship anything to the City of Los Angeles
without having received cash in advance.

I doubt any prudent banker would consider trade accounts receivable from LA as valid assets against which to lend.

by threatening to cut off the city's power supply as retribution.

How is this retribution?

It's not.

AZ said "if you want to boycott our state, then consider the consequences", one of which is that YOU will be boycotting OUR electricity.

That's not retribution, that's CNN, et al, stirring the pot.

What's pitiful about all this sh** with CA is that in 1959 when I was a Senior in high school, all students who had a certain grade point average(3.7 and up, back in the day 4.0 was very unusual because they actually taught in schools then), were taken on a field trip to the first nuke reactor in CA, I forget what area it was in but it was on the coast and looked very differently than the ones today that use the towers for cooling.

We were so proud that CA was leading the way on energy development and we saw a great future for the country when it came to electricity production.

Did we get surprised and what a sh** hole CA has become compared to what it was back then. A state I could be proud of has become a state I would love to leave if I had the means.
