I was done with her already for being pro abortion, pro gay marriage, and thinking Kagan is a good choice, this is just the icing on the cake. She is a died in the wool progressive. If there is one thing I hate it’s being tricked. Her pictures are gone from my profile page, she no longer exists to me.
Dear Mrs. Bush; Leave your armed guards home one day and walk some of the streets regular Americans walk. You'll find there are reasons for the law that was passed. I realize your family can us the cheap Mexican labor on your ranch, and you loved your Hispanic housekeeper so much you took her to DC, but that's not reason enough for me to give up my birthright.
Laura Bush needs to tell the populace why illegal activity is needed to sustain the current government.
One of my ancestors was Irish, the rest were Scots.
I suspect they had to work hard to make a life in the new world but I guarantee they didn’t come to this country and immediately demand everyone support them with free everything. They also came here legally.
They were proud of their heritage but even more proud of being Americans.
There have been a great number of laws concerning immigration into the US and the naturalization process.
George W. Bush loves amnesty. Apparently, so does his pinhead wife.
Did the interviewer point out that Laura's Irish ancestors were legal. Did he/she point out that the AZ law virtually mirrors federal law?
I suspect not.
Does she ever need to shut up. Gives all women a bad name for spouting off on a political issue without understanding it or having the big picture. Looks more and more like Bush married a nice, pretty woman who just wasn’t that smart.
Why isn’t she apologizing to the Chinese like Hilary?
Does Laura KNOW the difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL?
I guess she can say sh*t like this. She probably has security crawling all over her residence. Somebody hears every fart she lets go and comes to check on her. The average Arizonan only has himself/herself to provide security for their family.
WALLACE: Well, I have to ask you, since you brought it up, are you unhappy with the Arizona law?
BUSH: Well, not necessarily. I mean, I think we have to have the immigration laws. And you know, that's a really important part of it. It's just that the debate about the immigration laws, about Arizona's law, end up targeting someone a group of people.
WALLACE: Do you worry that it...
BUSH: And it's this is not new in American history. There have been many groups of immigrants who've been targeted over all of our history the Irish, for instance, when a lot of Irish immigrants, including my family, came to the United States other times and it's just that it's a trait of nativism that shows up in American in American history in a lot of different ways.
WALLACE: Should gays be allowed to marry?
BUSH: Well, I think what I really believe is that it's something that is so difficult. It's a very, very difficult issue for very many people, because the marriage between a man and a woman is so fundamental to our civic life, for all of our history, for the history of humans.
And it's a debate that I think people want to have. But I hope they have it in a way that protects people. And in many ways, I think it's generational and that gay marriage will come. WALLACE: Gay marriage will come?
BUSH: Yeah.
WALLACE: And are you OK with that?
BUSH: I'm okay with that.
Sheesh..
What’s with all the “Laura Bush is a freaking moron” threads lately?
Suddenly a Bush has credibility?
No more Bushes. None of them. Nada. And send Laura to Ireland. Or Mexico. Anywhere but here.
Oh, drat! :-(
Laura Bush has also hinted at being against the war in Iraq.
They call it RETIREMENT for a reason, Laura.
Laura lost me so I cont care what she says any more
