Read that on Hot Air a few days ago:

Scheduled opening date: 9/11/11. To show solidarity with America, you see.
"Hey, let’s build a mosque at Ground Zero; Update: 9/11 families oppose (Allahpundit) May 14, 2010"

But...just did a google search to find the source and found these articles, so I'm not sure if it opens on 9/11/11 or what, since the NY papers reported it that way, I think I'll go with them for now as for being accurate--

that’s BS. IF they wanted to show solidarity then build it some place else. It’s no different than when my brother was murdered and the illegal drug dealer’s mother kept trying to talk to my mother. I had to tell the family to get her out of there. My mother was about to go ballistic on the old lady. Sometimes you have to say “I’m sorry” and leave it at that. IF they are truly sorry and don’t want to cause further hurt, then SEE that a mosque built there would hurt a lot of people. Cancel the building there and see if that doesn’t change some peoples minds about their “religion”.

IF the scheduled opening date is 9/11/11, why aren't New Yorker's planning to march in protest...flood the streets, get angry, protest and TAKE A STAND, SPEAK UP AGAINST THESE MUSLIMS. THEY ARE IN OUR FACES...WHERE IN THE HELL IS OUR ANGER? WE ARE AMERICANS, AND WE HAD BETTER START ACTING LIKE IT.

WOULD AMERICANS IN WORLD WAR II HAVE ALLOWED THE JAPANESE TO OPEN UP A RELIGIOUS PLACE OF WORSHIP IN THEIR CITY? YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT THEY WOULDN'T.

The muslims are spitting in our faces and having a laugh...remember our sorrow and the pain of our losses and ask yourself, New York, what are you going to do about it?
