Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel acknowledged to a group of rabbis that the U.S. "screwed up the messaging" on its policy toward Israel.
The Jerusalem Post reports that the White House has held two meetings with 15 influential rabbis from across the country to assuage concerns about the administration's support for Israel.
In the second meeting, on Thursday, Emanuel seemed to do a mea culpa:
The Obama administration has “screwed up the messaging” about its support for Israel over the past 14 months, and it will take “more than one month to make up for 14 months,” White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel said on Thursday to a group of rabbis called together for a meeting in the White House.
“During the elections there were doubts about President Obama’s support for Israel, and now they have resurfaced,” Emanuel said, according to one of those who participated in the meeting. “But concerning policy, we have done everything that we can that is in Israel’s security – and long-range interests. Watch what the administration does.”
The meetings were an attempt to repair relations with U.S. Jews after a visit from Israel Prime Minister Benjmain Netanyahu ended in a PR disaster.
Rahm is a Concentration Camp Capo of the 21st century.

If they admit they screwed up, then why not fix it? Instead, they continue to press forward on screwing up.

These kind of “screw-ups” are what led to Saddam invading

Screwed up meaning the truth got out.
They have no one to blame for the disgusting treatment of Bibi when he visited the White House.
Is Rahm going to blame that on Bush too.
Hussein has lied about everything. Except one thing. Anything to do with Islam.
How did 0bama screw up? It is well know he hates Israel and he has made that loud and clear.
So it’s all words. Just words.
But Israel knows that it will always have friends in the conservative movement in the USA. Always.
I don’t think that they “screwed up” their message. I think that they accurately portrayed their support for Palestinians terrorists rather than for Israel.
Now they realize that their real message is costing them politically. That is what they regret. But Israel knows where Obama stands. He is not their friend. I don’t think that he is America’s friend either.
Obama was too busy kissing Muslum ass,he didn’t(or couldn’t)give aid and reassurance to the only ally we have in the missle east.
Why Emanuel and not the F-Up-in-Chief?
It would appear they continue to screw up the message.
So 0 snubs Bibi, embraces Karzai, and snubs Rabbis he is trying to make amends with.
When is the meeting with 15 influential Catholics scheduled to take place?
Or Protestants ?
No time, perhaps.
Would Emmanuel handle those too ?

My gut tells me there is a disconnect between Rahm and Obama.
Obama is a agenda driven, true believer Socialist, with a radical, black theology Muslim orientation.
Rahm is a Chicago Thug, a realist with socialist roots.
Obama gives Rahm a veneer of morality, and he gives Obama fists of power.

It’s just the message that wasn’t relayed correctly. It doesn’t have anything to do with not supporting Israel. The evil teabaggers distorted the message.
