Or Jackie Robinson like, he can force EVERY team to have a La Raza insignia on their shoulder, in perpetuity.....

Speaking of Jackie Robinson, Bud already scheduled a day of games where every player on every team wore Number 42. You can’t get much more stupid than that! (I’m sure Jackie would NOT have approved!)

Right. Heavy handed and WAY over the top.

Worse though, and what I was referring to, is the PERMANENT retiring of Jackie Robinson’s Dodger number from EVERY team in MLB. A “thank you sir, may I have another” moment of self flagellation if there ever was one.

More appropriate, because it more accurately addresses the discrimination issue as a whole, instead of funnelling it down to the single player who broke the “color barrier”, is the periodic donning of Old Negro League uniforms by MLB teams. A great hat tip to those long gone teams and players, and a real fan pleaser. And once per year of that, is MORE than enough.

42, pink bats, green it up, now this. Makes me wanna puke.

Can you see Ty Cobb or Rocky Colavito coming to the plate with a pink bat?
