Others have said it upthread. There are far too many women who truly believe that they don't have the "right" to dictate their morality to others. (Men too, of course).

I think it's part of the general "tolerance is god" movement in our society that affects a lot of people. They know it's wrong, but they don't want to be "judgemental."

It's dead wrong thinking, but it's really, really common. And sad.
