She’s fake in that she presented herself as being a Conservative. She had the admiration of millions of Conservative women whom she knew admired her. Conservative women considered her to have class and elegance. We thought she was one of us. Now we find out she is really on the other side. I’d say we’ve been duped, for at least 9 years. (I was unaware of her before W’s presidency, but I’m sure many Texans were aware of her.) This is not a *role* we’re playing here - it’s supposed to be real life. You don’t just hide your true opinions on things, garner the admiration of millions, and then say *surprise*, it was all a sham!
We only thought she was a conservative because of her style, her class, appearance, the way she spoke, etc. She was a perfect first lady. If someone asked her about these issues and she hide them then and came out with it now - I’d consider her a fake and a liar.
She’s not a fake because of our assumptions. I know, in the past, I made assumptions about other peoples values were like mine because we were alot alike. And I was proven wrong and it really bothered me that I gave them too much credit and fooled myself.
“Shes fake in that she presented herself as being a Conservative. “
I don’t recall her presenting her self as anything. She was a really bland firstlady who tried to avoid having a thing to do with controversial issues. She mostly confined herself to things that couldn’t possibly offend anyone. Her job was to nod, smile, and gaze lovingly at her husband.
