You are not required to be a resident of a particular state to obtain a SSN from that state. I and my little brother spent a month at my grandma’s house in WV, away from FL, when I was a young teenager. She took us downtown one day to get each of us a SSN. I do not know what we used for ID, if one was even required back then?

This has to be BS!

If his SSN leads with "042", he would have to be in his 70's...regardless of which state (CT or MA) it was issued from.

If it truly is the one he is using, it had to have been:
