Typical crap. That kind of stuff really has almost no place in the article. Maybe 1 paragraph explaining the objections that prevented Israel’s acceptance to the group in the past but the rest should have been about what it is and what benefits they will get and some quotes from economics ministers and the like. 10 paragraphs is short, so it should’ve stayed focussed on the main point and not diverge into war stories.

This a great recognition for Israel.
No arab members of the OECD, and only 1 islamic country (Turkey).
Probably due to the lack of commitment to democracy. And the fact that they are not developed.
