Hes always been one of my favorites. Today, WaPo profiles the conservative ascendancy of S.C. GOP Sen. Jim DeMint. Read the whole thing. The article ends with this notable quotable:
I dont know that Im always going to be right, but I do know this: Im not going to sit on the sidelines again. When we tell people were the conservative party I want to make sure we have people sitting in those seats who really mean it.
A welcome antidote to McCain Regression Syndrome.

I like DeMint, alot. The more I hear about him the more I’m convinced he’s someone who could help lead us out of this communist morass we’ve allowed ourselves to stumble into.
I really think McCain will lose this race to Hayworth.
It’s possible. Send $$
I could support DeMint (from everything that I know about him) both at the ballot box and with $$.
DeMint-Christie 2012
DeMint-Ken Cuccinelli 2012
Chris C and Ken C have the fire in the belly.
DeMint is one of the good guys; thank God for Jim DeMint, a man who loves his country. How rare is that in DC!!!!
I could go for a DeMint/Bachman ticket.
That would be a strong ticket.
Like hen’s teeth
DeMint/Van Helsing
Bachman is like a female Dick Cheney only more conservative.
Though perhaps not as wise.

I like DeMint, too.... and as we know... everyone in politics has their own reasons, which they consider valid, for endorsing or recommending or working for another candidate... that they believe in ...
DeMint had good reasons of his own, to be on board with Senator Lindsey Graham, from 2-1/2 years ago...

WILL SERVE AS CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIR
Big news from the re-election campaign of Sen. Lindsey Graham:
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA U.S. Senator Lindsey Grahams re-election campaign today announced that fellow Senator Jim DeMint has endorsed Graham and agreed to serve as a Co-Chairman of his campaign.
Lindsey Graham is a true leader who has fought to strengthen our military, protect the sanctity of life, and keep taxes low, said DeMint. His devotion to and for our men and women in uniform is evident each and every day he serves in the U.S. Senate. He knows that the battles we face against radical Islamic terrorists threaten our very freedoms and prosperity.
Also, Lindsey understands the need for limited government and a balanced budget because we cant leave a fiscal mess for our children and grandchildren to clean up, continued DeMint. That is why I am proud to work with Senator Graham as we secure both South Carolinas and Americas future.
Earlier this week the Graham campaign announced the endorsements of 1st District Representative Henry Brown, 2nd District Representative Joe Wilson, 3rd District Representative Gresham Barrett and 4th District Representative Bob Inglis. The four congressmen will serve as Vice-Chairmen of the Graham campaign. Coupled with the DeMint endorsement, Graham has now announced support from all of the South Carolina Republican elected officials serving in Washington.
Jim has been a great friend and colleague in the Senate, said Graham. Working together I think we make a good team for South Carolina. Jim has been a leading advocate in the Senate for fiscal restraint and works tirelessly to protect taxpayers from unnecessary and wasteful government spending. Im very pleased he has agreed to take a leadership role in my campaign.
His “good reason” is that they are both US GOP Senators from the same state.
Good for you pissant.
Just found out Christie is very weak on 2nd amendment. No thanks.
A lot can change in 2 years. But it’s shitte like that, that makes really friggin’ HATE politics.
Hope she hears me.
