Anyone where this situation stands right now? Any talk of firing this A -Hole ?
My son, who is a Historian by education has told me that this is a common problem with successful “empires”. The people generally become complacent because life is good. Face it, our lives are fantastic generally, we do not have to worry about shelter, food, water, or even safety for the most part. We have families, hobbies, interests, and are not going to risk those in any real way for liberty. Hell, we will end up watching those who do suffer the consequences for standing up for freedom and literally make up excuses against them, or just say “that’s a shame” to ourselves, not daring to say it out loud and risk ourselves.
It breaks my heart that we make pretend that we are better than the other side because we refuse to commit to violence and civil disobedience. There is no morality in saying we will not violate an unjust governments laws, there is only fear and subjection. It is the right and responsibility for each American to overthrow an unjust government and I don’t think the founding fathers were talking about carrying picket signs...they were talking violent overthrow if necessary.
But, how can people who would not even block a street or a doorway into a government building, afraid of being arrested ever be willing to risk it all for liberty?
So, in my opinion, America is doomed for a generation or two. It is our fight to fight, but the next couple of generations will suffer because we simply bowed our heads.
The truth will win out however, maybe not in the US for a while but it will win out. Liberty is the natural state of our world, it is God’s creation and cannot be killed. So, eventually those American ideals will win out.
