As I understand it, global warming of the type pushed by warmists means significantly higher temperatures in the Arctic and very similar temperatures in the tropics.
The severity of the storms is driven primarily by the difference in temperature of these areas, not by the absolute temperature.
So global warming should in theory result in less severe storms.
Water vapor is the primary greenhouse gas and it essentially negates increases in CO2 absorption. Whatever temperature that any particular layer, or region has now will simply be increased by hte same factor. There's no reason for energy to accumulate anywhere in the system. That would violate the principle of equipartition of energy.

The energy of each region is multiplied by essentially the same factor.

The neergy factor is <~0.7%. The bottom line is that the increase is insignificant and that does not justify turning over control of anything to any self appointed group of priviledged experts.
