Those are weird results for tea party identification
I dont know of any contact with the tea partiers from Fiorina and Campbell
Your ad hominem attacks of "blabber" instead of accepting what and who the tea partiers really support only weaken your position.
Here's the facts you missed, or ad hominem'ed:
Nationwide actually, but we are just concerned with California hereThose are weird results for tea party identification
I dont know of any contact with the tea partiers from Fiorina and Campbell
The writer of the article is a liar, the tea party support goes to Fiorina, not DevoreNo it doesn't go to Fiorina.
California's Tea Party candidate for the Republican nomination (to take on sitting Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer) has seen his chances dwindle. Chuck DeVore...AndA poll showing a candidate down 17 percentage points would put a damper on most campaigns, but Chuck DeVore points to it as cause for optimism in his bid to win the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer.PlusThe Irvine assemblyman has become a torchbearer for California Tea Party activists, winning the endorsement of the Tea Party Express and the conservative California Republican Assembly. He's been a consistent voice in Sacramento and on the Internet in calling for smaller government and lower taxes, and for opposition to abortion and gay marriage.
"We are gaining momentum," DeVore said Thursday at a meeting with news and editorial writers at the Register. "Fiorina and Campbell are coming back to Earth. Our internal (polls) show that Campbell's support is from conservatives who don't know that he was in favor of taxes and when they find out, they shift mostly from him to me not from him to Fiorina, because Fiorina is perceived as more moderate."
DeVore, a darling of the conservative Tea Party movement, would seem well suited to make a fundraising splash in the traditionally right-leaning Inland area.I can't seem to find any Tea Party support for anyone but DeVore in regards to this race. Maybe you can, besides that poll.
I don't depend on pollsIt seems that is all you use to determine what you believe
Personal experience and rubbing elbows with thousands of Tea Party attendees and continued communication with the movement is worth more than the polls
Show me something other than polls showing where others are aligned with the tea party more than DeVore and we might have a basis for communication on this
The poll doesn't prove they chose Fiorina...
The tea partiers themselves are more accurate than your 2,000 year old pollI've talked to thousands of them
Like I said, buy into the media spin or not it's your choice
The only collection of their views is the pollLOLOL!
That last one is really funny, I have been collecting their views for over a year.
Yes, to know the views of a group of people on a subject, someone has to question them and collect the information, so far, only field poll has done that.
Oh I have been doing that for over a year
We have California polling data, you have nothing to refute it with.
Read the above posts again, if you even did before.
We have California polling dataYes you do, and that's all you have and all you want.
I have real life data collected on the ground.
Show me anything else proving your point besides your poll if you want to show that your poll has any validity
Your poll doesn't show that any of their TPM choices have been at or any teaparties or been endorsed by any tea partiers or tea party orgs.
ansel12 to Syncro This will have to go down as one of my odder experiences here, good luck with your California wide, data collecting.
More, would you like to address the credibility issue below. You know where you deny saying something you said?Alright good job, I'm downright proud of you! We've exposed that poll for trying to twist the facts
I've asked you upthread more than once to show me some proof that the tea party supports Fiorina, but you choose not to. I understand your sole source is polls, but I put stock in what a person says.
Here's some stuff from the "horses mouth" so to speak
Seems to have worked, the polls show that she has taken it over!Carly Fiorina Drinks the Tea
She's a former CEO and the Tea Party endorsed her rival [ Not a poll, just a pesky fact ]. But this GOP candidate in the California Senate race calls herself an anti-elitist Tea Partier.[ So she is a self-appointed tea partier ]
Though a national Tea Party group endorsed state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore over former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina in the California Republican Senate primary, Fiorina isn't holding any grudges. She's using the Tea Party movement to raise money [Ah ha that's the connection]
Fiorina's letter is loaded with Tea Party rhetoric. Fiorina declares, "As a life-long fiscal conservative, I'm ready to send a message to Washington: we have had enough government expansion and taxation!" She slams Obama for mocking "us," as if she, too, is a Tea Partier.
(DeVore was one of the few officeholders invited to speak at a Tea Party rally in Nevada in late March with Sarah Palin.) This former corporate honchowhose stint at HP was marked by massive layoffs and controversywants to be seen as a Tea Partier, too.
...despite her own CEO past becoming a potential liability and Tea Party activists endorsing a rival, Fiorina has a clear political strategy: her own corporate takeover of the Tea Party.
I'd give you the source, but it's not a poll so I won't bother
BTW, that last sentence is called projectionWhat is it with you, I never said the tea party supports FiorinaWell here is a quote of yours from post #127:
The writer of the article is a liar, the tea party support goes to Fiorina, not DevoreThe writer of the article isn't lying so the obvious conclusion can be drawn from your statement. You are confusing an out of state tea party express group with the California voter polling that I told you about
I only know of one Tea Party Express "group" and it originated and is based in California
They had DeVore speak at their kickoff Tea Party when they did Tea Party Express Tour III, and THOUSANDS of tea party Californians cheered him, as well as thousands of tea partiers from across the whole nation.
Fiorina has NOT spoken at any tea party events but has, in the eyes of some, successfully co-opted the Tea Party Movement (which you can see from a previous post above that her plan was exactly that) and convinced those that ignore facts that she is the Tea Party candidate.
Not so much
None of this really matters because tea partiers overwelmingly support DeVore
"Among the California voters that identify with the tea party the strongest, Fiorina wins them. Devore does not."You keep confusing a national tea party group with the only polling of California voters that ask about the tea party.
Among the California voters that identify with the tea party the strongest, Fiorina wins them. Devore does not."
If you have some California polling data, show it.
What I do wish you would do, is think through things before you keep wasting my time. I get tired of this childish game you keep playing.
One more time here is your credibility at stake, do you want to address it?"Among the California voters that identify with the tea party the strongest, Fiorina wins them. Devore does not."Well, I have proven that not true. "Poll" accuracy notwithstandingI'm not cornfuzed, you are Ansell
"You keep confusing a national tea party group with the only polling of California voters that ask about the tea partyYou keep confusing polls with realityThousands of Californians came out CHEERING for DeVore, let's just call that a poll ok?
Now you get it?
What do you have with against a national tea party group that represents tea partiers quite well?
Believe me, they are a lot more informed about what is going on in California then you are.
Perhaps I should copy your methods and say you don't know anything about what is going on in California because you don't live here
If inundating you with facts is wasting your time, just don't respond.
To the rest of you on this thread, I apologise for this long post. It appears some facts have been missed by a poster so I wanted to put it all in one place for him/her.[ansel12:] What is it with you, I never said the tea party supports Fiorina[Me:]Well here is a quote of yours from post #127:
[ansel12:] The writer of the article is a liar, the tea party support goes to Fiorina, not Devore[Me:] The writer of the article isn't lying
Sorry, the polling data shows that California voters that strongly support the tea party, also support Fiorina over Devore and Campbell.
The Field Poll is our only data at this point. When you get a California voter poll that includes tea party supporters and contradicts the one we have, then post it.
