Many Sarah Palin devotees seem shocked that Sarah Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina for Senator. They believed Sarah Palin to be representative of the Tea Party–who all endorse Chuck DeVore.
Sarah Palin is first, a Republican.
Sarah Palin has shown loyalty to John McCain and Carly Fiorina is a friend to John. Perhaps she feels it’s only right.
Sarah Palin speaks at Tea Party events and likes certain principles, but by her own admission she does not represent the Tea Party. In fact, she arrived late to the Tea Party–it had been growing and thriving for months before her first speech at an event. She then signed on with Tea Party Express, whom many Tea Party activists view as a Republican organization (as opposed to a grassroots organization) to speak at the anchoring events.
Was it a good political move to endorse Carly Fiorina? Not for Sarah…and maybe not for Carly. This is California, after all, and Chuck DeVore has the Tea Party and serious conservative vote wrapped up. Some have speculated that this endorsement was a desperate move to shore up a failing campaign. Although, it looks like many big donors are going to move in to help Carly because they believe she has the best chance against Barbara Boxer.
Once more, I believe the establishment is wrong. First, they’re misjudging the grassroots sentiment. A Sarah Palin endorsement won’t win Carly Fiorina votes. It just won’t. And it’s condescending and tone-deaf to believe it will. Second, Carly Fiorina is not the best candidate–in the primary or the general.

We know she gave $1,000 to Michele Bachmann (a true conservative), $1,000 to Marsha Blackburn (a true conservative)...
She gave $3,500 each to Bachmann and Blackburn in 2H'09. She also spent PAC money to travel to MN for a fundraiser for Bachmann that raised $500,000.
She's spent PAC money to go to fundraisers all over the country that have raised hundreds of thousands, if not millions, for charities and politicians.
She endorsed Sean Duffy and urged people to donate. He raised $25,000 online in the next 24 hrs.
She endorsed Tim Burns in PA-12. He raised $80,000 online in the next 24 hrs.
I did a little analysis of 2H '09 direct PAC contributions for the major GOP players. Her direct PAC contributions almost equaled Huck, Romney and Pawlenty combined.

She's doing OK.
The way he mashed it up was a little odd.
Something that gets left out is the massive amounts of money that she helps candidates like Michele Bachmann bring in with her personal appearances on their behalf.
In the months after the 2008 election, during the following summer, when Palin was trying to get her PAC qualified and was already in a start up issue with the FCC she made her required five donations, that was when the donations to Murkowski, McCain, Hatch, Portman, and Graham were made.

IMO there's a difference between monies collected as a result of her paid appearance and monies collected from her personally. If she isn't donating her speaking fee to the campaign, I personally discount (if not outright reject) any appearances where she's being paid to appear.
With that in mind, it's more telling of her own views who she actually donates money to. Such monies represent personal sacrifices, and they speak far more to her values (as do any monies donated to churches, ministries, etc) than any paid appearance does. It's easier to receive a big check than it is to write one.

I’m aware of that tea party convention group and how she accepted their speaker’s fee to disperse in her own political causes, rather than donating it to them, for them to disperse, which makes sense.
I’m not aware of her charging “fees” to help the candidates that she supports, which ones have those been?

You don’t have to trust me on the fact that people use it both ways. Do a Google search on each “phrasing” and you’ll find them both... :-)

She is the only conservative standing up for Arizona, Drilling for Oil against Obamacare. Where is everyone else? A couple of primaries and people go nuts. Who else is as conservative that could be President?

Don’t forget the money Sarah has raised for county and State GOPers. I know of the AR, OR. FL. On the 12th Sarah will have one in Illinois as well. There is one thing nobody mentions is all the meet and greets Sarah has. You know the private VIP ones but the Rubber Room Crowd has no use for these pesky fact because it’s counter to their insipid narrative.

No one can use it either -- "correctly" or "incorrectly" ... :-) It's a phrase, and whatever kind of phrase one wants to use, is simply that and nothing more.
It would be different, however, if one were to specifically quote a person and say, this is what this person said, then you might have something there ... :-)
However, that's never been done by me, but it could have possibly been done by someone else that I'm not aware of, but that would be their problem and not mine ... LOL ...
