Good point. In these kinds of lists, a library is often overlooked. If you have a good survival library, you will have the knowledge you need to survive. In a severe crisis, you will not be able to log onto the net to obtain information. Also, if you have information on your computer, you may not have electricity to run your computer. You need to have the information on paper in your house.
A load of books will not, in and of itself, help one after the SHFT. However, if you actually read them beforehand and master the skills and knowledge contained therein, you will fare better. Books are heavy; I want as few as possible in my ruck while searching for food in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
