Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin's endorsement of Carly Fiorina in California's Senate race has prompted a fervent blowback on her Facebook page, long Palin's safe haven for delivering her message.
The revolt is coming from Palin supporters who also back Chuck DeVore a tea party favorite who is campaigning against Fiorina in the Republican primary.
Palins Facebook page is littered with comments opposing her endorsement of Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard.
The only REAL CONSERVATIVE is Chuck DeVore. Fiorina is a RINO and we don't need any more of those in [California], one irate commenter wrote. Why wouldn't you back Chuck DeVore???
Sorry Sarah but I think Chuck DeVore is the conservative candidate you should be supporting, added another, who was followed up by a DeVore supporter who wrote: I don't agree with this endorsement AT ALL! What are you thinking Sarah?

Lots of excuses for Palin. I just don’t think she has it, and I did for a long time.
Let me ask you, who did you vote for in 2008..and if you say McCain, was McCain a Conservative in 2008 or was he a RINO then? He was the same man then that he is right now. He did not change. McCain chose Sarah to be his VP, and she obliged, saying it was a honor, so was she a RINO then for supporting McCain or did she become one this year endorsing him for senate. Can’t have it both ways
Fiorina has a good chance of winning the senate race while Chuck DeVore will lose by 20% or more if he gets the nomination.
Good call by Palin. She is showing sound judgement.
It’s none of your business who I voted for in 2008, you fascist.
No excuses, you don’t live here in CA so you don’t know how bad it is. We can’t afford to take a chance with a guy who has what, 13 percent of the vote. If this were any other time, I would say go for it, go with DeVore and if he loses, oh well, he can come back next time. This is not the case here, my state is in total turmoil, we have to get rid of Boxer and NOW..can’t afford to play games, gotta go with who has the best chance of winning. At the end, whoever wins, gotta take out Boxer..and all this infighting, its only going to help Campbell which is the worst of the bunch.
Hewlett Packard workers, retirees and shareholders hated Carly. HP was probably one of the best managed and revered companies when Dave and Bill were alive. The woman is not liked. Mccain is worse.
I was just asking a question..I have no issue saying who I voted for, I voted for McCain in 2008..see..no secrets here
I find it hard to take seriously a poster who activated their Palin account AFTER the 2008 election.
Are you being paid to post here.
This makes sense to me. Why bet on a horse that’s gonna lose?
She’s bold, smart, and willing to follow her own political instincts - NOT the will of the blogosphere.
Devore could not win. Fiorina can. Politics is about who can win, not who has the purest ideology (according to someone’s own personal standards). Those who can’t understand basic political facts will be forever frustrated.
Maybe, maybe not, but this is a p-poor reason to diss her.
Yes, but you still have to vote for the best Representative. I have lost a bit of faith in Sarah lately (she seems to be mostly Republican, not Conservative). You still have to decide on who is the best Conservative to represent them.
There is always stupid statement made during a campaign. You have to decide what is relevant.
I did not know this site existed til after the election. I came to find a place with people who disliked Obama as much as I did. Yeah being paid to post here, I wish. I have been unemployed for over a year now..I wish I was being paid to post
Yes— Duncan Hunter has great principles, and would govern well. But unfortunately, presidential elections are about image and name recognition, not great principles.
I can’t vote in CA, but I just sent a check to DeVore. Coats, Fiorina, McCain? What’s next? Charlie Crist?
Its all good then, none of my business and I’m not a Palinbot. I don’t do whatever she says. She endorses people I don’t like and she endorses people I do like, its her business. I make my own decisions
Yes. Sarah needs to hear from the grassroots
That is pretty much what I thought her reasoning would be...there’s a point where ideological purity means giving the election to the other side...and she went for the half full glass instead of what would result in an empty glass. Sometimes, that’s the real choice in politics, sad but true. People may not like it, but reality bites sometimes.
Ah, you have described the difference between a politician and a Conservative. Thanks...
