Facebook turns on Palin
Politico ^ | 5/06/10 | Andy Barr

Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin's endorsement of Carly Fiorina in California's Senate race has prompted a fervent blowback on her Facebook page, long Palin's safe haven for delivering her message.

The revolt is coming from Palin supporters who also back Chuck DeVore – a tea party favorite who is campaigning against Fiorina in the Republican primary.

Palin’s Facebook page is littered with comments opposing her endorsement of Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard.

“The only REAL CONSERVATIVE is Chuck DeVore. Fiorina is a RINO and we don't need any more of those in [California],” one irate commenter wrote. “Why wouldn't you back Chuck DeVore???”

“Sorry Sarah but I think Chuck DeVore is the conservative candidate you should be supporting,” added another, who was followed up by a DeVore supporter who wrote: “I don't agree with this endorsement AT ALL! What are you thinking Sarah?”

LOL. You don’t need no stinkin’ facts. Based on the polls, Campbell runs the best against Boxer. He has held elective office in CA. Fiorina has never held elective office period. If Palin is going to endorse someone other than a real conservative , i.e., Devore, then Campbell is the better choice if the objective is to defeat Boxer and that will be an uphill battle regardless of who is nominated.

There are some on this thread who are labeling those of us who happen to disagree with Palin’s California endorsment, and other recent endorsements of RINOs as “Liberal Trolls.” Lets think about this, shall we:

Would a liberal be angry that Palin has been endorcing RINOs for the GOP? Nope! Lets remember, Liberals were gleeful when McCain (the King of the RINOs) was the GOP’s presidential candidate.

The left loves it when the GOP endorses RINOs...real conservatives don’t!

The facts are that Tom Campbell is a radical leftist.

An argument that I am not prepared to join in is one with you promoting Tom Campbell.

Have fun with your Giuliani/Campbell politics, but I’m not interested in them.

Noah Webster:

The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scripture ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evil men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.

Isn’t it amazing that our Forefathers knew so much more than we do?

I can vote in CA and have already mailed in my ballot. Campbell makes McCain look like Reagan. My plan A was DeVore (at this point would be a symbolic vote) but looking at the situation realistically. Do I want Campbell? Hell No! So with Fiorina trailing in most polls within the error of margin, I held my nose and voted for her. She’ll probably be no worse the than Kay Bailey Hutchinson. I don’t think Boxer can villify her as much as DeVore. Prayerfully, the rest of the country will elect Senate conservatives and put pressure on her to vote that wat too.

If all three had been in a dead heat then I would have seriously questioned Palin’s values but as was earlier said she went “for the politics of the possible” I think CA has become the new MA.

If you want to drop out of the process of choosing elected leaders then go for it, I’m not stopping you.

I imagine that there are people that have been voting for Alan Keyes in every election that they can for almost a quarter century, and might keep voting for him for as long as he keeps running, I’m not one of those kind of people.

Do me a favor, don’t start spamming with your cut and paste quotes.

Sorry that you think that quotes from our Forefathers are spam but with today’s generation, I’m not surprised.

Look, you are annoyed because you don’t understand something, don’t start getting pissy, personal, and continue cut and pasting famous people’s quotes like you are making a deep and thoughtful argument.

Vote as you wish, or don’t, I don’t care.

You’re only getting angry because you know you are in the wrong. I tried to show you some history and you are rebelling. That’s okay, I understand the younger generation (my son is one although he’s learned). You should really go back and read Webster’s quotes and understand them.

Have a good night...

One thing to note regarding Sarah Palin and this came out in her book is that her communications director and close aide Meghan Stapleton is an ex-Washington insider.

Stapleton worked at the RNC and worked for a Republican insider operative named Fred Malek.

There’s a picture in the book from 2008 showing Malek, Rick Perry and Sarah together on an airplane during the campaign.

I can understand why Sarah supported McCain. As a worried Texan I am glad she supported Perry. Republicans are hanging on by a thread and I would never vote for Perry if we had a decent conservative candidate but I certainly couldn’t support Medina or Kay Bailey and Perry is the only one who I feel has a chance to beat Bill White. White left Houston as a solid sanctuary city and in bad financial and infrastructure shape. If White is the next Governor, we will be in worse shape than California in pretty short order. Re California, The Democrat machine hasn’t even begun to get serious yet. I would venture that this is going to be one of the most expensive campaigns ever and it’s going to get ugly. Female gang members are said to be much more dangerous than their male counterparts. Let’s let these two women have at it and see who wins. DeVote is obviously the more Conservative ideal candidate but IMO, it’s going to take a whole lot more than that to win.

It's a standard Palinbot reaction. They get more marginalized with every loony attack, and RINO endorsement.
