Fiorina has the endorsements of Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and John McCain for a reason.

I still don't like Fiorina, and a 100% rating from the NRA means nothing anymore (JPFO is the best firearms rights group), but I think I understand Sarah's reasoning: on the surface, DeVore and Fiorina have similar values, and Fiorina can win. Don't really like it, but I get the reasoning.

And I have never liked "ALLAHPUNDIT" since Malkin hired him. I think he is a young punk who knows very little about the Constitution.

“Yes, conservative bona-fides are important, and so is electability.”

I totally agree! I believe conservatism is important in candidates BUT they also need to be electable.

It is so sickening how there are so many “purists” here on FR in that if there is only ONE thing that they disagree with them on, they are instantly a RINO and must be barbecued with hell-fire.

There is NOTHING wrong with what Sarah did! I strongly support Carly Fiorina and I did before the endorsement.

While DeVore and his supporters have been running a campaign of “ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTAAAACK!” and “Blast ‘em, Blast ‘em, Blast ‘em” against Carly Fiorina and her supporters, Carly has been focusing on the MAIN GOAL: UNSEATING BARBARA BOXER!!!!!!

Isn’t that what a primary is supposed to be? Instead of blasting your primary opponents, shouldn’t you be presenting a case to the voters on WHY you are the best candidate to defeat the Democrat in November????

That’s what Carly is doing and she has my 100% support! Sarah Palin has done the right thing!

the only conservative in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer. That’s no RINO

....ahhh, sorry, but you have NO proof for that assertion! DeVore has a conservative RECORD and Carli does NOT. Look into the maximum affirmative action stuff she championed at HP while driving the company into the ground. Pitiful executive decision making led to the Board bribing her with $50MM to leave with the stock down to $15/share. All about Carli including her personal jet which ferried her hairdresser and makeup artist on shareholders dime...awful speech giver and a failure at recognizing/inspiring the top 10% of the HP sales force (I was in the audience)and is not prolife except for this election... unreliable and a Repub in the Arnold mold. Last month Rasmussen had a poll with Chuck running BETTER than Carli against BoxofRocks. Support DeVore and get a conservative with a voting record in the Senate, not an incompetant wannabe...

ymmv

Is there a reason she has the endorsements of Sarah Palin, Tom Coburn, and James Inhofe?

Yes. She’s telling everyone what they want to hear. She’s good at that.

There's no TIME for "teaching those @#$%@ a lesson". The country can't survive the Dems much longer.

When you turn the wheel on your car to make a right turn, you're not doing it to teach the car a lesson. When British sailors climbed in the rigging to change the sails in an attempt to keep the ship from foundering, they weren't doing it to teach the ship a lesson. When Republicans and conservatives vote such that big government Republicans lose, they aren't doing it to teach anyone a lesson. They're doing it to CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF THE PARTY.

They understand that as long as big government Republicans win, it will continue the disastrous pushing of the perceived "center" so far to the left that a guy like Obama qualifies as a moderate Democrat instead of a socialist, a moderate Republican qualifies as a far-right wing extremist, and average non-political Americans become cynicals and think there's no point in voting because "there's not a dime's bit of difference" between Republicans and Democrats. THESE are the consequences of voting "pragmatically" Republican, and we are reaping them in spaces now.

I like Palin, and may vote for Fiorina. But understand, Aramis, that you engage in deliberate insult and wrong analysis when you think this is about "teaching a lesson." You are insulting and wrong to attribute motives here to such pettiness and childishness.

Because I agree with you that in many cases, "incremental conservatism" is what we must do, I gave money to Scott Brown with my eyes wide open, knowing that he is a big government Republican and hoping like hell that he is soon replaced by a limited government Republican conservative, but regarding it as a pretty BIG increment that "Ted Kennedy's seat" is now held by a Republican.

But at the same time, I realize that decades of Republicans and conservatives voting against our better judgment for big government Republicans made Obama inevitable. I realize that at this point, continuing to vote for big government Republicans out of fear that the Democrat will be worse is engaging in Einstein's definition of insanity.

It's a tough call. But don't for one MINUTE think that I am making these choices to "teach them a lesson," and DO understand that anyone who says I'm movitated by such a petty motivation is behaving like a jerk.

I reviewed my post and there is no insult in there explicit or implied. I can see how one might extrapolate a “teach them a lesson” theme. So let me clarify based on Carly’s time at the helm of HP she lacks the moral character to be a representative. She will say one thing and do another. She got HP employees to agree to a pay cut to avoid layoffs then did the layoffs anyway. It also appears she rigged a corporate election. Based on her past behaviour she will say conservative things to win the primary then vote exactly as if we re-elected Boxer. Now this can be taken as an insult if you want. In my opinion winning by nominating Carly(no guarantee of a win) would be dishonourable.

Allahpundit is just a common garden variety RINO plant (agent), always berating us for being birthers or too conservative or too uncompromising. Posting his thoughts here should come with a compulsory Barf Alert.

He’s heart’s in the right place, but DeVore is a loser, and worse, he’s becoming a spolier.

Rubio may be turning out to be a real establishment type. It’s worrying. I’m very glad Palin did not endorse Rubio.

.ahhh, sorry, but you have NO proof for that assertion! DeVore has a conservative RECORD and Carli does NOT.

What you are not getting is that DeVore is running 3rd in a three way race for the Republican Primary. This is as good as it gets for him. He doesn't have the money or the cross-over appeal to win at this point in time. What miracle is going to move him out of 14% among Republicans to 51% among Californians????

That said, the problem is who will win the primary. Campbell or Carli? Pick.

If DeVore is really pro-life, and Sarah endorsed a pro-abort, then she’s on my $h!t-list.

I like the cubs, but I would not bet on them to win a league champinship. I live in Tx so I don’t KNOW all there is to know about Devore, but I repeat - if among republicans in the state he is running 3rd there must be a reason.
