That's not likely with party discipline. On government bills, the government's MPs vote the way they're told. A "free vote" in the House Of Commons is a rare event.

But rebellions against government bills are not uncommon. And the “free votes” cover important things, usually of an ethical nature. Abortion for example. Or the annual debate on restoration of the death penalty.
