They’re running fourth in Scotland
Yes it is, but not for the reasons the pollsters think. Essentially the errors they’ve made in one direction are cancelling out the errors they’ve made in another!
First loss of the night for Cons - they lost Eastbourne to Libs. Still they are +15 total so far.

right
A failure to take Birmingham Edgebaston would be very bad news.
That is great (for democracy), although some places are posting just over 50%. Lot of variation.
Lib Dems hold Taunton Deane, number 29 on our list.
Brown looks so old tonight. His eyes are very baggy. Not unlike Mondale in that second 1984 debate.
The Raving Looney Party? lol

A pale shade of their former selves, alas, after the death of their leader Screaming Lord Such
“Monster Raving Looney Party”
Looks like the UK has its version of our Democrat Party.
There will be loads of them at the counts for the main party leaders.
Didn’t they have a candidate who changed his name by depole to “Lord Buckethead” a few elections back?
There was one called “the Birthday Party” a few elections ago...
I feel better now that the running count shown by the BBC is about even. lol.
Very interesting. You seem so knowledgeable about these things. So polls remain open until 10 pm? Must be a very long election night, with results not known til the next morning I guess.
Can you tell me why there is so much emphasis on the size of the “majority” a candidate wins within his district? Even though in many cases it looks like they only win with a plurality, and not a majority. In any case, the media always mention whether the victory is by a larger or smaller majority than the candidate got the last time. Is that only to gauge the strength of the party in that district or is there some further significance? Almost sounds like the the ones who are elected by a larger margin get some special privileges or something, but I doubt that is the case. If I’m not mistaken it’s the same in Canada.
