Barry Soetoro claims his father was a Kenyan, never an American or even applying for American citizenship. Barry could have been born in the Oval Office and he still would not meet the definition of Natural Born Citizen as the founders used that word in the Constitution. He may be an American citizen, but he can never meet Natural Born Citizen IF his father was actually the Kenyan Barack Obama. [Your first name wouldn't happen to be Joel, would it?]

“he still would not meet the definition of Natural Born Citizen as the founders used that word in the Constitution”

What is the Constitutional definition of NBC?

Some say Vattel is the key, because a translation published after the Constitution uses NBC as the translation for indigenous.

The courts have held that English common law provides the definition intended by the Founders, since natural born subject is the monarchical equivalent of the republican natural born citizen.

If the Vattel theory is right, your interpretation may be correct, although one sentence isn’t much to build a case on.

If the common law theory is correct, then the courts are correct in saying just about anyone born in the USA is a natural born citizen.

Personally, I think the latter is correct, but that it needs to be balanced with an understanding of the differences between 1600 and 2000. The English in 1600 didn’t have a huge number of visitors giving birth in England. I’m not sure there was even an equivalent to ‘tourist’ or ‘illegal immigrant’ back in that day.

That said, I see no chance that the courts will prevent anchor babies. And they certainly are not going to try to remove a sitting President based on overturning the reasoning of WKA.
