When people mock theoretical science, I often point back to Einstein and this very theory, that he established almost 80 years before it was actually proven by experimentation. Experimental science: monkeys at typewriters.

Can we open a portal to the past or find a shortcut to the future? Yes and no.
To travel to the future, just get into a vehicle that can travel at 99.9% of 186,000 miles per second.
Travel to the past? Doubtful.

More on the same theme:
Common sense without faith is rationalism.
Faith without common sense is fanaticism.

Do they listen? Hell no.

The man has twisted himself in knots trying to avoid the concept of a Creator.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, “Thy will be done,” and those to whom God says, “All right, then, have it your way

I’m watching Hawking’s TV show now on Tivo. The Story of Everything is on Discovery. I’ll give you a review when it’s done.

You disagree with him, ergo, he’s stupid. List your accomplishments in any field of science.

TIME TRAVEL QUOTES:
“I just witnessed time travel! Dammit, it was a $500 watch.”
Time Travelers Unite! Yesterday!
There once was a lady named Bright
Who traveled much faster than light
She departed one day
In a relative way
And returned on the previous night
“Please help me, Doctor, I keep seeing into the future!”
“Ah. And when did this start?”
“Next Tuesday afternoon.”
Who’s there?”
“The Time Traveller”
“The Time Traveller who?”
*Knock, knock*

So, When are we now ??

The method of time dilation certainly works, if you can afford it. However it's much easier to put people
in hibernation here, on Earth, and wake them up in whatever time they ordered. Many writers used this approach (in their books :-)
