We watched an old movie the other night which I recommend "The Mortal Storm"...Jimmy Stewart, etc. We showed it to my father in law and for the first time he never spoke a word during an entire movie, plus he stayed awake! After the film was over, he said "We should make everyone in America watch that!" The movie itself shows a typical family in Germany, step father had been all the children knew as a father figure for most of their lives. But when Hitler was elected Chancellor, everything changed. The children (who were young adults) were swept up into the "movement" of what they thought the country should be. You were either on their side or an enemy...whether you were family or not. They turned on their parents quicker then a jack rabbit on a date and I see it every day in this country.

We got into a lengthy discussion afterwords about how history is being repeated but as Jews were the enemy, Christians and conservatives are today. I am not saying Conservatives would ever suffer the horror the Jews did, but to see the hate on the faces of the left, reminds me of the feeling toward Jews and how they were hated...for a belief.

You're right about liberal hatred... we all see it on their faces and in their pronouncement. These are scary times.
