Prevailing winds this time of year are Southeast pushing the oil to the Northern Gulf.
I suppose as it piles up it could migrate around to Texas and get caught in the Fla.current.
If it gets in the fla current my guess is it might dissipate before it hits the East Coast, but this is all a big unknown and anyone that tells you they know what it will do is smoking stuff.
The only experience we have with these type of currents bringing Gulfside stuff to the East Coast is with red tides. We get red tides in the winter that make the trip around the Tortuga's and come up the Gulfstream. But, by the time they hit the Keys they are in the process of dissipating.
Don't know if crude will do the same thing and I doubt anyone else does either.
Well, this does put a hamper on “Drill Baby Drill”.
My talking point for that now is “Shall we remove all off shore drilling rigs”?
The best on the Sunday talk shows was when that turd Bill Maher said Brazil
didn’t use oil anymore and practically the first thing 0bama did in office
was approve a loan so they could begin a new offshore well there! LMAO!
