Well, well. They didn’t say how they know that, BUT
al Awlaki.....that’ll do it.
BTW: I wonder if Shahzad was offered $$$, and if so, how much? I am not convinced this was an entirely “idealistic” or revenge-motivated act.
Surmising that they found al Awlaki CDs in his place. The artcle says he was “fond” of al Awlaki CDs.
Fox News reporter in Pakistan this AM says Siddiqi’s family is very wealthy and that he was a child of privilege. Which means the guy could have paid his mortgage if he wanted to.
If the allegation that he and his wife were on the skids is true and his attempts at reconciliation were rebuffed, it is entirely possible that he intended to martyr himself but was too cowardly to follow through...or...he was trying to impress her by committing an act which islam considers brave and honorable.
Either way, he knew exactly what he was going to do when he quit his job and they don’t have to search any further for a motive other than he is a muslim. Period.
Every case I have followed down through the years shows that these guys are so drugged up when they do this stuff that it is no wonder he made so many mistakes.
He left his carkeys in the ignition so he had no transportation away from the scene except public transportation. That being the case, did he return to NYC to retrieve his other vehicle or rent one to go to the airport?
WHERE was the FBI when all this was happening?
Now the Pakistani radicals have yet another “cause.” This is madness.
To add insult to injury, Manhattan has granted this malignant swarm permission to build a 15 story mosque overlooking Ground Zero which spits in the face of every victim of 9/11. This is their greatest victory and they intend to rub our noses in it every way imaginable.
Whatever idiots in Manhattan gave the go ahead for such an abomination should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail. Or drawn and quartered.
