Bono Meets Obama

There are a whole lot of celebrities in town this weekend for the annual razzle-dazzle that is the White House Correspondents Dinner.
But not too many get into the Oval Office to see the big man himself.
Unless, of course, you’re Bono.
U2’s lead crooner and all-round celebrity do-gooder met with President Obama and his national security team to “discuss the administration’s development strategy heading into the upcoming G-8 and G-20 meetings in Canada and September’s U.N. Summit on the Millenium Development Goals,” Bono’s advocacy group, ONE, said in a statement.
...Still looking for republicans to step and say something? Give them another 10 days, then they can try to use this to there political advantage...
...If tea tea party had just thrown bags in the Gulf, it might have helped, instead of wasting time trying to clean up the pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial...

How could it take days? Our Dear Leader already sent a team of lawyers. Is that not enough? Do we really need more than just lawyers to stop an oil leak, and if we do has Obama realized it yet?

That was the only part of the speech that sounded Presidential.
But I fear that when he says it will take days to stop the leak, you better think it will take a lot longer. We are all going to feel this. I’m heartsick. Praying that the “Apollo 13”-like command center I heard was set up is as good as those guys back in Mission Control on those dark days many years ago. It is going to take a man made miracle to stop this thing. Failure is not an option. Then the long work begins.

And it will take five to figure out how he can work this to his advantage.
And another two to figure out how to blame Bush.
