Yep, I own a model 94 bicentennial 30-30.

It is interesting that make the 1894 .450 Marlin.

The 94 is not exactly a snipers rifle, but the .348 was a good bear gun if you were tough enough to shoot it.

I think there are a number of stories from Alaskans who have successfully used the >.40 1894s to ward off the bears.

My kid got his great Grandfather's 30-30 that was built in 1896. Seems to shoot fine. I'm thinking about getting my own.
