On the morning of March 22, I raised my flag to the top of the 25 foot pole In my front yard. I must have forgotten to tie it off, because when I returned later in the afternoon from presenting my Sunday message I noticed that the flag had been lowered to half mast. That evening I watched the the House of Representatives vote on the Senate's version of the Health Care legislation. As the remaining votes needed to pass the legislation were cast, I began thinking about the damage this legislation would do to America. It was then that I realized it was time to fly our flags at half mast. So I decided to leave mine where it was until I believe that God Himself has moved me to raise it back to the top.
Like me, many of my friends and relatives believe that we are experiencing what could very well be the last decades of what has been called the greatest civilization the world has ever seen. Yes, I believe that unless we change things drastically, that the America we once knew could very well be gone forever. I say so because, unless we gain control of congress this November by a super majority then we will never be able to overturn the Health Care bill. Fact is, even with a Republican super majority, it will be difficult to overturn this unconstitutional law. Does everyone remember that we were never able to convict Bill Clinton and remove him from office? I do pray that if and when a challenge to the law gets to the the Supreme Court that the conservatives will prevail and thus rule it unconstitutional. The problem we have is the moderate conservative Justice Anthony Kennedy who has shown a propensity to.............

No flag supersedes the National Ensign. So on a flag pole, any additional flag would be flown beneath it.

Nope, I don’t begrudge any who do.

Interesting read. Thursday while visiting my Mother at the hospital, ( Banner Baywood in Mesa AZ) their flag was flying at half mast. Everyone was wondering why, was it the wind? was it not tied up strong enough? OR was someone trying to tell us something?

My Gadsden flag will fly in place of my beloved American flag until the bastard is gone from the Whitehouse.

Who died? The only time we fly at half mast is if someone died. We had our flags at 1/2 mast when that women died earlier this week. Did someone else die????

How strong is your Flag Pole. There is NO limit on the number of flags you can have on a pole.It all is determined by the stregnth of your pole.

Ditto....this stupid sh*t about "half mast and/or upside down" is kneejerk childish crap.
If you want more bang for your buck while flying your Gadsden, may I suggest you stand outside and have a cigarette while you're admiring the view? THAT drives 'em over the cliff like lemmings.

Thursday while visiting my Mother at the hospital, ( Banner Baywood in Mesa AZ) their flag was flying at half mast. Everyone was wondering why....
Ok, for those who cannot seem to read more than an excerpt, this is the article in a nut shell.
That is very interesting considering the way the author of this article states that he found out about his flag being at half mast..... Prophetetic?
Only God knows?

Obviously you did not read the article.
OK, for those who find it difficult to read more than the excerpt posted here on FR, here is the gist of the article in a nut shell....
The author states that he came home and his flag was flying at half mast, even though he knew he pulled it all the way up in the morning. That Sunday afternoon when he returned home, the House of Representatives voted to illegally pass the Senate version of Health Care. He then decided to leave it at half mast in honor of the death of this once great Republic until he feels God moving him to raise it to full mast.
Read the article, it really is a good read.

mine was upside down that day.

Sorry, I meant most of that comment for napscoordinator. Please do not take offense to my comment. Somehow I seemed to have typed my comment to napscoordinator twice with one of them going to you. My apologies for sure.
I am doing like about three things on the pc at the same time while I am playing catch with my dog.
I will cut down my pc'ing by two, but I refuse to stop playing with me dog....LOL

If I take part, I’ll fly mine at half staff instead, since I live on land.
To: theDentist
I with you on this, theDentist.
I don’t begrudge those who do, it is a free country.
I cannot bring myself to do it.

Our neighbor flies his upside down and half mast. Mine's been upside down since Obama got elected, but has been flying at full height. Interesting, I'll have to give some thought to half-mast now...

You are a good patriot Colonel_Flagg.
Imagine if we could get even 1 million conservatives to do it. Just think of the fit the left would have knowing they are doing it because of the way this regime is destroying this once great Republic that my Grandfather died for?
To: usconservative
I buy and use the flag stamps ... and always apply the stamp upside down now that the affirmative action commie/fascist bastard is in the Oval Office.

Flying the flag of the United States and/or the flag of your state at half mast and/or upside down is an infantile form of protest regardless or your political persuasion. I will not insult this nation by using it's most important and beloved symbol as a form of petty political protest.
Fly it high and free. (Regardless of who is President.)

Mine has been and will continue to be flown ‘in distress’.
We have soldiers, this very day, fighting for and dying for all that our Flag represents.....all the while, our nation is being systematically destroyed from within. For that reason, my home Flag will continue to fly in DISTRESS with a Gadsden flag beneath it until all communists, marxists, maoists, and socialists are OUT of OUR White House and our Republic restored.
