As I write, I have my papers on me and not just because I'm in Arizona. I'm an immigrant, and it is a condition of my admission to this great land that I carry documentary proof of my residency status with me at all times and be prepared to produce it to law enforcement officials, whether on a business trip to Tucson or taking a stroll in the woods back at my pad in New Hampshire.
Who would impose such an outrageous Nazi fascist discriminatory law?

Steyn ping opportunity.
All immigrants are required to carry documentation. At this point I really think we would be better off just pointing at liberals and screaming WIMP! LOSER! CRYBABY! Just go for the pure emotional. Anyone who bases their politics on reason is already a conservative of some flavor. And no died in the wool liberal is going to switch sides. So we only need to convince the "moderates" that liberals are a bunch of pathetic bedwetting retrobates and we can sweep all elections.
I dont know about anyone else , but me and approx 20+ friends are going to turn out along the local highway with U.S. Flags tomorrow , in support of the Great State of Arizona . We plan to stand up to these pinheads that have their new Aztlan agenda BS
In the days to come MILLIONS of Americans should do this .
Screw the multifarious Tea Party issues for the time being .
SECURE our damn borders 1st !
millions upon millions ....come on people
The typical tactic of lawyer/communist/liberal losers is to accuse the accuser.

Obama declares a Cesar Chavez Day— for a socialist? Also Obama used Ceasar’s slogan?
“It was epitomized by the words from my fathers 1972 fast in Arizona, Si Se Puede! (Yes We Can), which have been adopted by activists worldwide.”
Sometimes I think those dems and Obama are trying to go Che on us. The illegal immigrants will do their revolution dirty work.
Psh, this Obama stuff gets to me...I sound like a nut!

I just wish they would be honest and say this is about hispanics. They tried to say it was about illegal aliens from England.....lol. Who writes this stuff...you can’t make it up.
Because it's not about hispanics. It's about illegal aliens regardless of where they originate. Granted, the majority are Mexican, but many travel through Mexico to get to the US so that they can ride the free gravy train.
Nobody is discussing the federal law. This is a case of federal law that is not being enforced. Why? Because an undocumented worker is valuable to those who have no regard for the law and the security of this country.
Thanks to Michael Savage that I found this federal code:

His math is wrong.
$139 Billion is 0.35% of $40 Trillion, not 0.0035%.
Laughing through clenched teeth and tears. Viva Steyn!
Great column, glad he’s writing about this.
Get it straight from the government’s mouth.

I too carry my “papers” on me, but refer to it as my driver’s license. People who don’t drive have a State ID. I’m often required to produce my ID, and not just by LEOs. If I want a beer I have to have an approved ID with me. Cash a check, buy tobacco or alcohol, rent a hotel/motel room, buy/rent a home, get electricity hooked up... the list is long.
The only difference with the new Arizona law is that if illegals are found they can be prosecuted under State law.
But that only applies to legal aliens. The feds have made illegals exempt.
I found the perfect reference to give to anyone who calls an illegal alien an “immigrant.”

It clearly explains what the definition of an immigrant is under subsection (15).
Throw that at every liberal who uses the word “immigrant” to describe illegals.
Thanks for the ping.
