Touchy, touchy. Beck is just a little too drenched in pending doom for me to take seriously.
Of course; that seems to apply to ANY book mentioned on his show...
Bump that!
I also read somewhere that he “ad-libs” most of his comments on TV — he’s got the Teleprompters with the main ideas, but he goes off on his own too. Quite a feat and very admirable.

So while the ardor of cable viewers for the Beck show may have fallen off a bit, hes still a potent marketing force.
Even with smaller ratings numbers, hes still the second-highest-rated cable news host, behind only his Fox colleague Bill OReilly.
And Becks year-to-year drop since April 2009 was more modest than others 7 percent among total viewers and 6 percent in the age 25-54 demographic (the viewership advertisers most covet).
By comparison, MSNBCs Keith Olbermann saw a ratings drop of 13 percent overall and 30 percent in the 25-54 demographic over the same period, and
CNNs prime-time hosts have taken an even steeper fall, down 40 percent overall from a year ago.
