That’s where I’m at. I go for days without turning on the tv until 10 pm. I used to turn it on to Fox News as soon as I got up. Not anymore.

I’ve listened to Glenn’s history lessons. I get it. I know what’s going on but I’m sick of hearing that the only solution is voting them out. How the hell do you vote out Barney Frank? The people of Mass. punished us for 50+ yrs by sending Kennedy back to the senate over and over and over and over.........

So I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no solution so why continue to punish myself. I’m exhausted from being angry 24/7. I’ve even restricted my time on FR.

I think you are right that Obama is trying to outlast everyone. Much the same as Wilson did too.

But even Wilson did not last forever, even though he won two terms. And his defeat lead to the longest run of Republican control the US has ever seen.

I guess it all takes perspective. Today, more children died in abortion clinics than in 9-11, and we’ll see the same tomorrow.

A good friend I have great respect for told me that he is in the business of hope. I told him that I am in the business of truth. It’s not my job to give people uplifting news, or even come up with a simple solution. My job is to report the truth.

He asked me if it bothers me about abortion, and I told him, yes it does bother me. I told him we have the good news in Christ to lean on and it doesn’t matter what happens good or bad, we must perservere through it all. Even if the battle cannot be won.

Greta is good, I like her.

Yes, I remember Greta having Sarah on her show and going to Alaska, and she defended Sarah as well.

Neal Cavuto is good, too. Rush is excellent.

I'm not surprised. Beck requires his listeners to actually think a little and read a few long books with small type and no pictures. To paraphrase Barbie, "Thinking is hard."

Is there a rating for the possible millions who TIVO/DVR Beck’s middle of the workday, after bed time show in the Pacific Time Zone?...I didn’t think so. That’s what everyone I know does.

He broke some serious news with Obama, Algore, CCX, Franklin Raines and Goldman-Sachs.

He can be a mixed bag.I give him credit for being a Paul Revere of some sorts before much of this Obama tsunami. It is doom and gloom then again it really is doom and gloom.I keep on thinking this is not happening to our country. If all conservatives unite under the same cause with strong leadership then we can turn it around.

“So I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no solution so why continue to punish myself. I’m exhausted from being angry 24/7. I’ve even restricted my time on FR.”

The problems are deep and wide. If everyone has your attitude, there is no hope.

When I was a young un, every one had a fruit cellar in the basement. Just coming out of the depression, and most women canned lots of food at home for the cellar. Good to have in an emergency...recently started one myself..you just have to remember to check the dates and rotate up to the kitchen every so often..

Built in a corner with 2 outside cement walls and cement floor for coolness..The other corner was a coal chute. We had a coal fired furnace...upgraded to gas sometime in the 50's...

Glenn’s show is the best. Unfortunately, I’m usually at work when it is on and I don’t have TIVO. We tape them though and when I can watch them I love them for the truth they tell. YES HE IS DEPRESSING. But good grief folks, we are in depressing times. Get real!

Hate to break it to some of you, but there are/have been a large number of "Republicans" that are responsible for or played a role in a lot of this mess. Some of them are corrupt too.

Medicare's prescription drug benefit anyone? Massive debt run-up that until the last two years was the largest in history? Gramm-Leach-Bliley? Corruption? Betrayal?

One of the problems we have is that some conservatives/Republicans act as though anything with an "R" next to their name's crap don't stink.

Conservatism is about the search for truth, not party politics. Party politics is part of what got us into this mess in the first place. Flame on, I really don't care. None are so blind as those that will not see.

People are sick of hearing gloom and doom.
He’s completely negative with no solutions.
Basically, Beck is just depressing.

Well, even as his Ratings “Collapse” (not),
Beck's viewership among the P2+ (25-54) (35-64) Group is: 2,262,000 viewers

Compared to 1,454,000 viewers in the same time slot for CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, HLN COMBINE!

You're always welcome to view Hardball or the Situation Room to watch their levity.

I'm sure Chris Matthews has a DEDICATED phone line to the White House just like Glenn Beck's,
but unlike Beck's phone, Tweety always has it in use talking to his buddy!

Something about that photograph of Obama. It almost looks... fake. I’d swear I’ve seen that look on at least a dozen photographs.

Watch how many viewers he loses when he starts hyping Romney.

"People are sick of hearing gloom and doom. He’s completely negative with no solutions. At least Rush mixes in some humor and tries to keep us as positive as possible. Basically, Beck is just depressing. "

I wholeheartedly agree. I've posted something similar to this a few days ago, and got flamed for it...but it's true.

I still DVR it everyday, but usually after the first 5 minutes I see the black clouds forming over his head, and delete it.

He's "chicken little" yelling not only about the sky falling, but with a complete 'chalk talk' to explain WHY it's falling.

Please every 6 weeks he "fundamentally transforms" his show to try "something different". I think also that he's becoming too smug.

He's got some good historical data, but he has become totally obsessed with the founders and throwing in the towel on today's America.

The two biggest failings for him with me was the dinner where he spoke and tried to sell everyone Amway...er...make the Libertarianism...same difference. And the way he dissed Sarah Palin the first time she was on his show...he was acting like the male counterpart to Katie Couric.

He doesn't have the clout he thinks he does. I'm pretty much done with him.

I watch o'reilly in small doses...mostly when Dennis Miller is on. I watch Hannity until the "great, great, great, great American panel" comes on with either bill bennett or Juan...then it's gone. Greta, take it or leave it...she's too much of a "lawyer", and it shows.

Having said all that, I still like FOX news more than any other outlet.

"Twice today, he said flat-out that if anything happens to him, it is not an accident."

You're exactly right. Beck is merely exposing the hard truths that the leftist lamestream media would never report on, and as such, you KNOW the Zero Thugocracy has been making subtle (or not so subtle) threats. The union thugs in New Orleans merely broke a girl's leg in five places just for being associated with a Republican leader. Imagine what they 'want' to do to Beck.

Depressing? Hell yes. The takeover and possible death of this great nation as we've known it could be nothing but depressing. But I'd rather know what's coming (ie reality)than have it sneak up on me and catch me totally unprepared in every way.

I really have to say....I am astonished at some of the comments made by "supposedly conservative" freepers on this thread. If I didn't know better, I'd swear they were being made by your typical reality-avoiding, 'head in the sand' leftist liberals.

eck is frustrating to watch. It’s all depressing and he never offers any course of action. Viewers nightly receive the same information 1) It’s bad 2)we have to fix it 3)we must remain non-violent 4) no politicians can be trusted

You forgot one: 5) Bush did it, too

I think it’s kind of plain to see where we are going.

I’m not sure that there is a solution.

Perhaps building a food cellar isn’t as bad as it sounds.

A good scout is always prepared.

It does not take Nostradamus to see that we are headed to a situation where solutions might not be as important as survival.
