On Wednesday St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman ordered a boycott of publicly funded travel to Arizona. The order was given by the mayor in protest of the new immigration legislation adopted in Arizona.

The new Arizona law allows law enforcement officers to question people about their immigration status if they have reason to suspect they are in the country illegally. It makes it a state crime to be in the United States illegally.

Coleman said the law is rooted in hate and fear.

Maybe the mayor can ban travel to D.C. as well. For they passed essentially the same law.

Current Federal Law:

(e) Personal possession of registration or receipt card; penalties Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d) of this section.
Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.

Those days are the best!

One might have to throw on a sweatshirt though :)

Wouldn't this be a violation of Article IV Section 1 of the US Constitution?

I have bricks. Maybe if we all pitch in we can wall off both Cities and return the rest of the State to some kind of normalcy.

And you know what else? The illegal-o-philes are boycotting Arizona, BUT the BUY ARIZONA movement (buy-cott) has gotten bigger than the boycott!

Here's a wonderful thread to find all kinds of things you can mail-order from Arizona companies. Contact ideas to show approval for the governor of Arizona, and some lovely ideas for the HOORAY FOR ARIZONA BUYERS' DELIGHT:

BUY ARIZONA.

“and when the temperature has to go up 70 degrees just to hit freezing”

I’ve lived here all my life. Sometimes the temperature swings 70 degrees in 24 hours.

NY is almost as bad.

Can’t wait to get out of it, probably all the more because I don’t see NY passing any reasonable immigration bill and the state, which is easy to get welfare in, will be over run before long.

What many people don’t realize, is that the really blue areas are the cities and parts of Upstate are pretty desolate and armed.

Not to mention, that the illegals are probably going to have it out with the Iroquois Nation.

Isn’T Amex headquarters in Pheonix.

OK all you old hippies...Burn your Amex Cards..yeah that will get a lot of takers NOT.

Stupid idiots. San Fran you need Arizona money. Maybe Arizona can send all the illegals to SF,California or better yet. Start flyers about how happy SF will be happy to have all the illegals there, but be sure to wear flowers in your hair. And just think of all the FREE stuff SF will provide for you.

Heads up Houston the Janitors are going to hold a march on Sat. SJL and QX will be a must attend.

These facist bastards. They’re popping up all over the place. We took care of these people at the Bulge in 44’. And here we are having to fight them again right in our back yard.
