There are some pretty dark secrets that these Chinese are hiding from the World. I must remind some of the Chinese apologists, Hitler didn’t come about until AFTER the Great Depression. Let’s just hope that some disaster doesn’t cause a systematic event in China that pushes the country into an extreme Nationalist Socialist movement. Sure, it doesn’t seem plausible today. But if these despots are destined to surpass the USA in the size of our Hegemony, the future has to seem uncertain no matter how much of an optimist you are.

What many people do not realize is that China has flirted with free market reforms in the past. I just finished reading "Life and Death in Shanghai". It is a story about a woman who worked for Shell in China. Mao then decided to kick all the foreign corporations out and imprison or "re-educate" the poor Chinese people who did nothing wrong but work for the corporations.

As we become more totalitarian and lose our international clout which direction do think China will once again swing?
