Nope cops aren’t allowed to perform random searches of citizens on the off chance that one of them may have committed a crime.
The place to stop this is at the border with a fence not in the streets by giving cops a free pass to inspect people they “think” may be breaking the law.
JMHO but it’s never a good idea to give a cop any more authority than they already have.
Forcing self-deportation by requiring proof of citizenship for benefits or employment would also greatly help.
