My daughter was rear-ended by a hit and run driver and it totaled her car. The police officer at the scene said it was likely an illegal- and it was just “part of their culture” as if we should be understanding. Say What? It is part of their culture to hit and run? The officer said it as if it was ok for them to do such things.

Tammy, I don't think the officer thought it was OK, they are pretty frustrated that the mayors and police chiefs are politicians and in the pockets of the highest bidders and will not allow them to do their job. This law changes that because if a mayor of police chief refuses to enforce the law, they can now be sued.

That's why Phil Gordon wants this law gone.
