And, New York City’s Al Franken says he’s ready to organize protests and commit civil disobedience over the new Arizona immigration law.

This has to be a brain freeze on the author's part. If Franken were to organize protests, as a sitting Senator that would be grounds for impeachment. A Senator's job is to craft legislation and vote up or down. It is not to take to the streets to overturn a vote that didn't go his way.

I'm sure he meant to say Al Sharpton.

I noticed the author said Al Franken is from New York City. My heart went all aflutter. But no, I checked he is still one of my senators from Minnesota. ;(

They can have him if they want him though. Really. I’d even pay for the plane ticket.
