Spot on. I read a story a while back about a bill that was being floated in Congress that would eliminate teaching publik skool students US History prior to the War of Northern Aggression. Think of growing up with absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of the founding of this nation, the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers, the tax rebellions, the whiskey rebellion, none of it. We're halfway there already. If the current trend continues in another couple of generations there will be no one left with a fundamental understanding of the concept of Freedom and Liberty, not to mention limited Federal gumbint. Quite obviously this is the Leftists' dream and they've been at it for nearly 60 years. The attempts by the Left to dumb down the population have been well documented in a book called The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America by Charlotte Thompson Iserbyte. She's a former muckty muck at the Department of (re)Education and puts together a very compelling case using DOE documents gained through the FOI Act. I think it's available now on line for free. Read it if you haven't already. It's a real eye opener.....
