I recall as a kid in school, another kid did a Science Fair project and it had the silver Mercury from a thermometer, was rolling it around in hand etc.

I actually held it for a bit, too.

I also burned my finger sticking it into a cup of freon another kid used for his project.

Crazy, I wouldn’t play with it now, but still, nobody dropped dead or anything.

My dad used to use mercury to polish dimes when he was a kid. I think he still has a capped vial of mercury he retrieved from a thermometer a few decades ago.

Mercury is a fun compound to play with. My brother and I remember playing with it from time to time and we turned out ok.
