The Feds should also then be responsible for who comes over the border and the costs associated with their lack of response. That is why AZ is broke and frustrated.
That’s my counter to the “FED” argument. If they are responsible, then be responsible, and pay for all of it. What’s going on now is unfunded mandates for the taxpayers of AZ.

Congratulations, great state, I lived there for 5 years as well.
However, in case you haven't noticed, Illegal Immigration is a hot-topic on FreeRepublic, we tend to keep ourselves informed on this subject.
And using investigations from both Federal and State agencies is not proof.
I know the Fed investigations are politically motivated.
And I am pretty sure the state investigations are as well.
Once again, that is not proof.

Yes and no. Good for us as a State, bad for the country.

Again, as other posters have asked, (I live here, I read “La Voz”), provide the specifics.

Anyone Obama put in to DHS would be a putz who hated America. This way, he got his putz who hated America, and we got a bit of freedom!

The libs always manage to get their suits into a friendly court and get injunctions tying us up. Prop 189 in California was handled that way, and when Gray Davis came in, he stopped fighting it.
We need to be proactive on the legal end of these things. A conservative group needs to get into court ahead of the ACLU--seek declaratory relief or something. We need to pay more attention to court rules on assigning cases to judges, and we need to pay more attention to who the presiding judge is in Federal courts.

our local fox reporter was saying he was hearing protestors there to lower the mexican flags that it doesnt help their cause so maybe there is hope
No hope. Hiding your beliefs does not change the problem. They don't want to be Americans, they want to be Mexicans on land they believe is theirs (Mexico).
Time to boot them out, permanently.

It’s nice to be in the lead in doing what the feds won’t do. Now we need other states to follow up and enact their own similar laws.

Well, of course liberals are going to be upset in AZ, Gov. Brewer just got rid of several million Democratic votes. She may win reelection by a landslide.

What does LE stand for? It’s pertinent for me to understand your comment.
