In a news conference broadcast on Phoenix radio station KFYI, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer announced that she has signed Senate Bill 1070 into law. She signed it live on the air.
Arpaio has enough troubles already.
I got question how does he abuse it
As Sheriff is his duty of arrest people who are illegal HELLO that oxymoron comment
Question is Rick Sanchez drunk YET
Time for the Govt. to STOP looking the other way.
I believe that anyone here illegally, should never get the privilege of being a US citizen. Those committing fraud, Fake SS papers, stolen ID’s, crimes, should never be allowed to come back here and should be prosecuted as your average American criminal who does the same thing.
No citizenship for those who couldn’t follow the first law to come here legally. They go back to their home country and file to come here legally, as others do or file to be a guest worker (when that program can be started). The guest worker program WILL NOT LEAD TO CITIZENSHIP. They can join the Armed Forces and become a citizen that way.
Then after the border is secure, those whom have broken the laws go back to their home country, never to return if they had committed felonies, or if not, after they have legally applied to come here, a guest worker program can be implemented.
So why are you assuming the arrested Illegals would be "broke" and can't afford a bus ticket back to Mexico?
Solution: We FINE them..AND that will take care of the cost of their ticket..
Mayor Phil Gordon of Phoenix is going to ask the City Attorney to get the feds to issue an injunction to stop enforcement of this law until it’s analyzed (or something like that). Kyrsten Sinema, the most sickeningly liberal AZ legislator, is threatening a lawsuit. The callers to KFYI are absolutely hilarious. “This is a sad day for AZ,” etc.
LOL..Arpaio can handle it.
NOt on KFI Radio with John and Ken here in SO CAL THEY LOVE IT
we’ll see
AZ dept of juvenile corrections was under a consent agreement for violations of civil rights until recently.
The girls at BCS didn’t have adequate cooling in their housing units and the feds said we’d be in violation if we didn’t do something about it.
What kinda cooling can one get in a tent?
When employer sanctions was passed, many left on their own volition, returning to Mexico (consulate was swamped with people getting their affairs in order so they could get their kids in school in Mexico) or going to more friendly states such as Texas.
The community college also saw a drop in enrollment from non-citizens as well as the public schools.
the 460,000 figure was recent
and our newly appointed maricopa county atty encouraged Gov Brewer to veto it as well
In the old days, they would hang wet sheets that acted like evaporative coolers.
oh come on. he has a great program for inmates and abused animals also. i’m for him getting his say. the fed’s haven’t been “clean” in their investigation of him either. i’ve read the stuff. i live here.
i think it costs a lot more for the costs, than for a bus ride.
Yes, and many of them will leave on their own.
Romley was absolutely the worst choice for County Attorney, which is probably why the Board of Supervisors appointed him. He will cause trouble for Sheriff Joe and they will laugh. I don’t suppose there’s a way to recall an appointed position, too bad.
That would only get us in trouble with the feds because that’s what the girls at BCS had in their housing units and the feds under Bush said it was against protecting their care under our custody
that’s what my grandma did. she was the first gen AZ in my family, so my kids are the fourth. i suppose if you count her parents who moved here early, she’d be a second gen.
arrogance and abuse of power in gov’t really gets to me
