1. If an American soldier is captured, is there a risk that the people holding him or her will say they are not subject to POW treatment because their orders are from an ineligible CIC? I know the enemy doesn’t follow any rules anyway, but it seems that our military is now subject to an additional risk.
2. I think it’s also possible that what is being hidden is that Obama Sr. was not his biological father. There is speculation - and all there can be at this point is speculation - that Frank Marshall Davis was his father. Maybe Obama was deemed a more “palatable” choice (wasn’t Davis married?) and so the deception has been kept up.
I’m wondering if somehow the most anyone will get is some kind of private showing to the court of the original birth documents, and a pronouncement that Obama is a natural born citizen, and nothing else. the media would have a field day proclaiming the “birthers” wrong without ever bothering to ask why the hell Obama didn’t release the document to the public.
I think people should be prepared for anything. Even if he’s a natural born citizen, there’s something he desperately wants hidden. Being exposed as a total liar would be damaging too - although again the media would spin it for him.
My theory is that Obama’s father was unknown, and that he received Obama’s name later. But even a long form wouldn’t settle the issue, unless it said UNK for father...I think they take the mother’s word, and the husband would be assumed.
This whole ‘communism’ by heredity thing is a bit silly. You aren’t ‘born a communist’... just ask Stalin and Castro’s daughters. My political views are nothing like my fathers. Now if what you’re saying is that Davis, because he was a mentor to Obama had an influence.. that’s a different story..but most of these posts I see about Davis seem to suggest that communism is somehow inherited with the blood. Your post doesn’t go that far but I thought I’d throw it in as I’ve seen the ‘son of the evil commie’ meme a few too many times. It seems to me that if Obama’s grandparents had no problem with Davis being Obama’s mentor, I don’t see why they’d have a problem with him being known as the father. For one thing it would have saved the hi-jinks people describe them going through to get an American birth registered. As the child of two US citizens it would not have mattered if Obama was born in the Amazon rain forest, he’d have still been natural-born American. I also doubt there was concern over Davis’ martial status - the American left of that period as now was pretty much ‘free-love’ and all that. This is 2010. No one cares if his father cheated on his wife with a teenager and had a kid by her. That little scandal isn't worth $2 million and his office. The only thing that is worth that is his NBC. Even with Obama Sr. listed as papa, there are many who don't want to understand NBC. He knew all the legal avenues and public opinion would give him plenty of time to destroy the country before he was finally given the boot. But, seriously, fathered by a married man is in no way worth all the trouble.
