The IAF could fly over northern Saudi Arabia (with the Saudis' blessing) and then over the northern Persian Gulf to reach their targets in Iran. ...and the distance woudn't be that much greater than flying over Iraq.

Yea it would. The important targets are in northern Iran. They'd be better off overflying Turkey, if the Turks would allow it.

Besides no F-22 in the region, the Israel’s are not flying stock F-16s right off the factory floor. IAI installs their own radar packages and adds much of their own weapons systems. We may know what they have, but in a situation like this it all comes down to the pilot. Sadly, there would be attrition on both sides.
