Once you buy the insurance you can’t cancel it with out turning in your plates. Plus,if you don’t make the payments on the insurance it isn’t canceled.

If you cancel an auto liability policy in Virginia, the insurer will electronically report the cancellation to the DMV, which will then send you a letter in the mail asking for verification of a new policy.

I've heard that same thing happens here.....

But, it seems somehow or another...they continue to beat the system.
