Fellow FReepers stranded in Europe, this thread is for you.
Who are you, where are you, what do you see and hear? Maybe we can get together...
I’d like the recipe too....I’m stranded in Indiana.;~)
And what a brilliant affirmation of marriage that movie was!
Will do. Lol i just watched a video they are crazy! ;-)
But looks like fun so i guess i will show up and watch them
if they make it there in time.
And this is from someone who normaly only listens to dark-wave, Gothic and somethimes Black Metal.
Have a nice day.
greetings
The time to look for the dust is at dusk and dawn. Should be some spectacular sunsets...
Great thread Sion! I hope you get home soon. :-)
Yet another reason Boeing should build the Pelican.
FOX just said airports in Germany are opening up.
yep same here. They say if nothing changes all airports will be opened on monday 6:00 am.
Looks like there is a chance :-)
of course monday 6:00 am CET (central european time).
This means in 12 hours.
I’m in London and hoping this lasts a long time,,going to Scotland tomorrow and plan to just wait it out.
We met Hulka for coffee and he is great!
I’m in Dusseldorf. Was suppose to leave Saturday, 17, after trade show. Kept room in our hotel until Wednesday. We have tried to contact Lufthansa to no avail. Will try to rebook when airport opens.
Spent the day in Cologne. Sky is so clear, odd not to see any contrails.
Nice to hear that there is something positive happening too
in this times.
I mean how often does it happen that 2 US freepers met for a coffee in London? ;-)
Enjoy your time in Scotland and of course get home save.
If this contines i will be of to London next Friday :-)
(Usually i planned for last Friday but better late then never :-)
greetings
Frankfurt airport is open again for flights to the north!
I hope you are able to get a flight back into the US soon.
The BM only requests a pound donation for visiting, same with the National Art Gallery, The parks are free and it doesn't cost anything to go to Evening Song at St Martins.
For 18 quid you can go on the sightseeing boats to Greenwich and check out all the cool stuff there too.
I know,,isn’t it wonderful that you can meet people you would never meet in a strange place. My husband who worries I will meet a serial killer on the net was delighted to meet him and we had a lovely time!
Wow! Could you ping me (if it’s not too much trouble) if airports open up?
My DH is in Poland and I’m trying to keep tract of whether he can fly back or not, it’s still a couple of weeks away but we’re worried.
I had arak when I was a youngun.
Wowzers. Anise flavor rocket fuel. IIRC it was clear, and if you add water, it turns cloudy.
That’s the one, right?
That sounds like Pernod; it might be related, though, because Pernod is a brand name. My brother said his landlord’s grappa tasted like gasoline with a little brandy flavoring.

Yep....similar to Ouzo.
I've had arak in the Middle East. The thing to remember is not to have MUCH. I learned that the hard way. :)
Yes, ouzo.
I had that stuff a couple of times when I was very young. It actually helped start my career as a teenage alcoholic.
