The blogosphere abhors a vacuum. So when the mainstream media (MSM) leave holes in a given narrative -- in this case, the biography of the president -- bloggers individually, incrementally, and indefatigably strive to fill in the blanks -- sometimes successfully, sometimes less so.
In his comprehensive, 600-plus-page biography of Barack Obama titled The Bridge, New Yorker editor David Remnick lays down the baseline of what the mainstream media know about the president -- or at least what they want us to know.

I wondered the same thing. In 1961 I’m sure it was routine in Hawaii but of course there is always the possibility his mother declined. However, if he isn’t, then I believe ALL of Larry Sinclair’s story. BUT, after Sinclair went public with that info, he could have has his physician do it and of course he keeps all his records secret. It’s not that big of a deal, he could have had it done on AF1 or in his bedroom in the WH. Nobody would be the wiser.
The only way we will ever know is if someone blabs and that’s not likely. I’m sure Boerner and Sohale Siddiqi (also Hal Siddiqi) know.
His memoir, Dreams from My Father, talks about this time, but not in great detail; Siddiqi, for example, is identified only as “Sadik” _ “a short, well-built Pakistani” who smoked marijuana, snorted cocaine and liked to party. A male relative of mine, born in 1963, was circumcised about a week after he was born.
There is one photo of MO when she was pregnant with their younger daughter and IIRC it was when they were spending a Christmas in HI. Fred do you remember the picture when just the older Obama daughter is shown(being held by Maya Soetoro Ng) and MO is wearing a loose fitting dress, I believe the photo appeared in one of the two Hawaiian newspapers and I pointed it out to you when it appeared knowing that you were saving Jr’s pictures? She was wearing a beige loose fitting dress and from the age of the older daughter I would say she was pregnant with the younger daughter at the time.
I posted a bit down after doing some searching that most boy babies that are circumcized are done before leaving the hospital. In 1961 that was most boys for sure. In Africa, at least then and maybe now, almost none.

Wait a minute, I thought that they (the press) were unable to find a single person who ever remembered seeing Obama on the campus at Columbia. You must mean Occidental. Obama didn’t actually attend Columbia. He went to Columbia College, an associated alternative campus for Columbia University, which allows students to write a contract for their own degree program and grades on a pass/fail basis.
No. I’m responding to the statement that his family is “faked”. He has a family regardless of what he might have done in college...it isn’t fake.

That’s the picture but looking at it again she has had the baby, Jr is holding the baby, but it sure looks like she hasn’t lost a lot of the baby weight because she sure is extra heavy around the middle! Maya Soetoro is holding the older daughter while Grandma Dunham is sitting down, I notice that Grandma has scoliosis like I have, interesting.
As much as I would like to believe that picture of the hands is accurate.... after looking at the blown up closeup..I don’t think it is two hands.
Anyone that has tried to draw hands correctly knows they are complicated.
Here is what I think is going on in that picture.
Obamas friend is the one with the cigarette. His center finger is lifted up with the cigarette under it,the cigarette goes out over his right ring finger.
..the light area that appears to be a finger on the far left is actually the base of the pinkie where it attaches to the palm. You can actually notice if you look close the first knuckle of the pinkie is bright (probably from a flash?) then you can see the next knuckle running back (dark shaded)where it drops down to the base of the pinkie and palm (bright)
There is a bright area between the pinkie and the ring finger that appears to possibly be a finger but I think its the light flashing of the skin webbing between the pinkie and the ring finger.
The whole right side of the hand picture is the bent facets of the thumb..
This pic has horrible resolution by todays standards, but I truly believe that is what we are seeing..I had to look at it a long time, and position my hand that way to even convince myself. I think this a matter of the eye and bad lighting/resolution playing tricks on us.
I will be interested to see if any of you agree after checking it closely again.
