WASHINGTON (AP) -- The bottom fell out of travel plans for thousands of U.S. airline passengers Thursday as dozens of flights between the U.S. and Europe were canceled, part of a global disruption in air travel as clouds of ash from a volcano in Iceland forced widespread closures of European airports.

What is this going to do to various theories about global warming?
On the one hand, the additional soot absorbes more heat from solar sources, thus causing glaciers to melt much faster, and the melting ice caps will flood the world’s seaports, forcing vast removals. On the other hand, this causes a great shift in the real estate holdings around the world. And who knows how much additional financial activity this may induce?
On the same vein, the spew of vast quantities of carbon dioxide causes vast acceleration of growth of plant life, as the raw materials with which they work, carbon dioxide and water vapor, are available in much larger quantities than previously.
Will bananas become a major export of Labrador?

I'm scheduled to travel to Europe later this month so am keeping an eye on events.
Is this eruption still going on and will the cloud make it around the world?
Have to wonder if and when it will affect North America!
Wasn’t there an Indonesian eruption that reached us?
